Woman hurt in stone pelting harbor in Mumbai
On Thursday, a 24 year old woman was injured by sharp object which is suspected to be a stone which is hit her in a moving harbor. The incident happened when Sujata Kadam was travelling between Reay Road and Cotton Green stations. She was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. The incident happened around 7.30pm who was coming from home to work, was travelling near the footboard of a Down local. She is a resident of the police quarters at Naigaon. A sharp object hit on her forehead near to her eye. She felt a sharp pain and did not see who had thrown the object on her. Kadam got off at the next station. A patrolling woman constable came to her aid and took her to the KEM hospital.
GRP officials said that railway work is going on between Reay Road and Cotton green stations. They suspect that kids from the slums near the tracks might have pelted a stone. The Wadala GRP is probing further.
