Three Chennai Metro Stations connects towards the respective Pedestrian Subways

CMRL announced at middle stages of Metro Rail construction about connecting some of pedestrian subways with locations metro station. This helps to enable the passengers to walk easily from roads through subway leading towards Metro stations.

CMRL reports stated to have confirmed that three of such areas are finally constructed and connected as per this plan in Chennai namely Saidapet, DMS and Government Estate Metro Stations. Recent press release stated the Annasalai Underground connection which will be opened for public use within the year’s end.

Commuters are travelling distance from the city’s outer through public buses welcome this method in connecting subways. Commuters effort to reach towards the station at the midst of heavy traffic and confusing road leads very easy through these subways connections to Metro Stations.

In Saidapet and DMS metro links the stations which will be connected only at one side of the station with pedestrian subways respectively. Government Estate Metro Station which will be connected on both sides of the road with the pedestrian subways confirmed at the latest reports from the CMRL.

This scheme is beneficial for both commuters making travel more comfortable at the middle of busy city traffic and CMRL constructions enable to reduce space accompanied by metro station. Most important advantage of these connections is leading subways close to the MTC Public Bus stands of the respective location.
