Onam Food Special, the biggest festival of God’s own country has begun and that means Sadhya for all the foodies. Just to clarify,Onam Sadhya is the special meal that brings the best of Kerala food on a banana leaf. The main dish is plain boiled rice, served along with other dishes collectively called Kootan, which include curries like Parippu, Sambar, Rasam, Pulisseri, Kaalan, Avial, Thoran, Olan, Pachadi, Mango pickle, Naranga curry, Papadum, Banana, Curd or Buttermilk, and plantain chips. One generally finishes the sumptuous meal with some yummy Payasam.
