South Tour packages announced by IRCTC
IRCTC announced new tour packages including Pongal vacation special to neighbouring states starting from Madurai under its package tour “Bharat Darshan Special Train Tours’.
Bharat Darshan special train tours from Tamil Nadu have only to the north, east and west of india but keeping in mind, IRCTC announced a package to neighboring states for the first time.
Special train tours would be Pongal vacation special, North Kerala special, South Kerala Special, Mookambila Special and Rathna Spathami Special. All tours must be for five days. IRCTC states that they wanted to give tourists from Tamil Nadu a chance to visit neighboring states as an affordable cost.
Sources stated that since tourists from Tamil Nadu normal prefer spiritual tours all packages must cover places of worship. Bharat Darshan train must comprise a total of 15 coaches and 12 sleeper class coaches. At the packages, accomodation with non AC hall/dormitory, non AC road transfers, South Indian veg food and tour escort for each coach to be included.
Pongal vacation special from Madurai via Dindigul, Trichy, Vriddhachalam, Chennai Egmore and Villupuram would cover places at Karnataka including Nanjangud, Melkote, Srirangapatna, Talacauvery, Mysuru and Coorg from January 16 to 20.
North Kerala special from Madurai through Dindigul, Vriddhachalam, Trichy,Villupuram and Chennai Egmore will cover places including Wayanad, Kozhikode and Kasargod from January 22nd to 26th.
South Kerala special from Madurai via Dindigul, Vriddhachalam, Trichy, Chennai Egmore and Villupuram cover places like Guruvayur, Kodungallur, Chootanikkara, Alappuzha, Kochi and Athirapally from january 22nd to 26th.
