Rain forecast at South Tamil Nadu districts
Director of Chennai Meterological Centre Mr. Balachandran informed that there is said to have rains for next 2 days at southern districts of Tamil Nadu state as the depression formed.
Since Northeast Monsoon had missed up and hence forth drough condition prevailed in Tamil Nadu. At this situation, summer rain had arrived and has rained in several areas including Karaikal. Maximum rainfall of about 17 cm are been recorded at Karaikal at Puducherry.
Mr. Balanchandran has explained that summer started in the state on March 1st. Severe summer starts on April and May. In this situation, Kanyakumari ocean and ending at Madhya Pradesh through Tamil Nadu has formed. This is said to long last for another 2 days.
Depression is said to be light to medium intesity of rain at few places of south district of Tamil Nadu and some interior districts including Coimbatore today (Monday, 6th March) and Tuesday (7th March).
