Rain for two days in Tamil Nadu
Director of Chennai Metrological Centre, S Balachandran during a session with reporters informed that with the intensification of southwest monsoon rainy season at the states of Karnataka and Kerala and there has been heavy rains at the areas lying near to the Western ghat Hill range and Nilligiri such as the districts of Valparai, Theni, and Dindigul.
At the other areas at Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, mild rains recorded at few areas at Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This rain will persist for the next 2 days. Rainfall recorded over period from 1st June to 11th July is 86 mm. Average expected for this period is about 68 mm. Thus there is an excess 27% rain at this period.
