Protesters set vehicles ablaze in Ahmedabad outside Padmaavat movie multiplex
Padmaavat movie has slated to be released on January 25th which has been facing protests by Karni Sena and many other fringe groups over allegations which has historical facts which were distorted in this movie. Protesters in Ahmedabad set vehicles ablaze outside a multiplex which was to screen for movie Padmaavat.
The protest took place outside Himalaya mall.
Many other fringe groups over allegations that historical facts were distorted in the movie. It stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. From being assaulted on the movie sets in Jaipur to set vandalized in Kolhapur for getting threats and detractors. Bhansali which was been facing many organizations that are upto in arms against period drama since its inception which was named “Padmavati”.
The producers of “Padmaavat” secured a U/A certificate from the censor board after incorporating five modifications, and locked the release date as January 25. On Thursday, Supreme court has showed the way for all India release of Padmaavat on January 25th by staying at the operation of orders by Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana governments banning its release.
