Price of Rice increased in Tamil Nadu
Rice prices have increased because of severe drought in Tamil Nadu. Its said that one kg of rice sold for Rs 56. AS the northeast monsoon failed, harvests at delta districts were deeply affected. If the same situation continues then other areas results in crops getting scorched.
Because of this a kg of rice which was sold for Rs 47 in 2016 at wholesale market is said to be increased by 19 percent. Same as sugar was sold for Rs 31 per kg will now increased by 39 percent and will be sold for Rs 43. The price of 15 kg ghee is now sold for Rs 6500. Prices of cashew nut and pepper will also get increased.
