Paperless online registration is been done by State Registration Department. This system is said to have allowed registering properties at all sub registrar offices in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Edappaid K. Palaniswami has inaugurated the Simplified and Transparent Administration of Registration at an event held at state secretariat. When talking about this official stated that facility had been implemented on a pilot basis at all of 575 sub register offices, official is said to have rollout which was been made only after training officials, document writers and public. With this online facility public can able to create documents using Internet and can able to check the precision of created documents by sending to sub registrar offices through Internet. On any given day, about 8000 documents are registered at the state. On this auspicious day, count was said to go upto 10000.

An official statement released that the state government stated that the public can able to book their appointment to register their documents and can save time. To curb forgeries, the new facility is said to send SMS to original owner of the property while registering the document.
