Nokia to come back to smartphone industry
Nokia has announced that they will return to smartphone industry in 2017. Announcement was made at Capital Markets Day 2016.
While Nokia is said not to manufacture the smartphones itself that they will be acting as that the owner of brand. Nokia plans on ditching Microsoft’s Windows OS. It will instead be making use of Google’s Android OS. As per reports, HMD will be pairing Nokia’s patents and brand with Foxconn’s R&D and manufacturing. Same reports even said that Nokia’s first to release handset in 2017 may be the D1C.
Device is said to come with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and said to be running on latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone may sport a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution with a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
