NEET Tamil Question papers had 49 translation errors

This is one of the shocking news for Tamil medium students who have written NEET. On Sunday, May 6th 2018 many students from TN wrote NEET is well known. In the NEET Tamil question paper, 49 questions out of total 180 questions had translation errors. This will destroy the future of many Tamil medium students now.

A Chennai based NGO named’ Tech for all’ caught the attention of many on Wednesday, 9th May 2018 as it threw the light on many glaring mistakes on to the question paper which would have confused the students aiming well to work on NEET for getting admission to medical colleges.

There were few translation errors were found in Biology question paper were the word “Cheetah” was translated as “Seetha” and the “Vowaal” was translated as “Vovnaval” and more.

Mr Ram Prakash to be the founder of Tech for all expressed his views. He spoke on how errors might have confused many students and the students will not have attempted fearing negative markings.

He also highlighted the fact that few errors might not create issues for these students and they could overlook but presence of many translation errors might create issues for the students aiming for medical seats. He also  stressed that CBSE must award 196 grace marks to Tamil medium students.

Lastly Mr. Ram Prakash stated that how lack of Tamil books in NCERT syllabus was the major problem behind these errors in the question paper. Its a note that NGP “Tech for all” trained as many as 3500 students belonging to poor families for this NEET in virtual platform.
