Low pressure zone formed over the Bay of Bengal

There is a low pressure zone formed over Bay of Bengal, warning is said to have been issued to northern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai district.

As southwest monsoon have lost its intensity over last few days which has gained intensity again since a week ago. As wind is blowing towards east this time, natural conditions at the Bay of Bengal have changed.

Low pressure zone formed since day before yesterday on 15th September stretching from Andaman Islands up to Odisha and Andhra coastal areas. Low pressure zone is now into strong depression, a cyclonic format has been developed over coastal areas. Due to this, there is sudden rain at Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Nagappatinam, and the coastal districts in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.Winds will blow stronger than usual. Ocean waves tend to be turbulent.

Indian navy issued a warning to fishermen to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and neighbourhood into the sea. A weather bulletin issued by Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are mild rains to occur in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
