Lorry owners strike on 20th July
All Lorry Owners are all set to move on strike throughout Indian on 20th July at protest against increase of price in petrol and diesel. Oil Corporation is now revising the rates of diesel and petrol on daily basis as per the price of crude oil at the international market. Thus over last few weeks, there was a rising trend in price of diesel and petrol. This has affected the business of lorry owners with heavy difficulties at fixing hiring charges.
In protest against above development and insisting on annual payment of toll charges, Lorry owners is said to have decided to move on 1 day strike on 20th July.
The Lorry Owners’ associations have intimated that starting at midnight 19th July, the total of 65 lakhs lorries operating throughout India including 4.65 Lakh lorries operated at Tamil Nadu will not be operated.
