Last date to apply for JEE is 30th September
A pass in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is mandatory to pursue higher courses offered by central government institutions such as NIT, IIT. This consists of two tests-JEE main and JEE Advanced.
The candidates pass in JEE Main are eligible to write JEE Advanced.
Marks obtained at JEE Main are sufficient to join courses offered at NIT and IIT. However to join IIT, a candidate needs to write JEE Advanced.
Till last year, CBSE was conducting the JEEs.
From current academic year (2018-19), a new set up, National Testing Agency under central minister of Human Welfare and Development which will conduct all examinations such as JEE, NEET, UGC NET, etc
Thus NTA is set to conduct this year’s JEE. JEE is said to be conducted in January and 2nd April.
Students who are currently studying plus 2 need to write any of these JEEs. If students prefer they have option to write both JEEs. Out of 2, JEE is higher marked scored will be considered for JEE Advanced Test. At this situation, 1st JEE is scheduled to be conducted at several phases from 6th to 20th January. The details of the applying procedure, examination fee, examination centres, etc., are furnished in detail on this website. 2nd JEE of year, scheduled in April are to be conducted from 6th April to 20th April. Details regarding applying online is said to be announced later as per NTA.
