Vegetable price in Chennai
Due to Tamil calendar month Aadi, there is no special days for marriages. This may leads to fall in vegetable price decrease in Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market in Chennai. For last two weeks the Koyambedu Market Vegetable price of tomato was sold at rs.100 and the small (sambar) onions were sold at Rs. 120 per kg. The beans was sold at Rs. 70 per kg.
Due aadi season vegetables price have started falling. Tomato, which was sold at Rs. 80 per kg, was sold at Rs. 70 per kg. Beans price has come down from Rs. 60 per kg to Rs. 50 per kg. Brinjal price was down from Rs. 30 per kg to Rs. 25 per kg. The price of drumstick has also come down from Rs. 55 per kg to Rs. 45 per kg. The broad beans price has come down from Rs. 40 per kg to Rs. 35 per kg.
However, the vegetable prices will increase again once Aadi month is over.
