How to prepare Malabar stuffed pazham pori
Ripe Plantain / Nendrapazham – 2 to 4 nos
Oil for deep frying
Poha / Aval – 1 cup
Jaggery – ½ cup grated
Coconut – ¼ cup
Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 cup
Sugar – ¼ cup
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – ¼ tsp
Water as needed
Take poha in a bowl add water and soak for about 1 min. Squeeze away the water and take them into a bowl. Add all ingredients and combine well. Set separate.
Combine all ingredients for batter to make a thick batter. Set separate.
Take a ripe banana , cut some banana from middle. Stuff it with filling. Coat it well in batter.
Drop into hot oil and fry until its golden brown on all sides.
Drain and serve hot.
