How to prepare Ginger Chicken

  • Preparation Time: 10 mins
  • Marinating Time: 30 mins
  • Cooking Time: 45 to 50 mins
  • Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 500 gms ( Use boneless if you can)
  • Salt to taste
  • Dark Soy Sauce –5 tbsp
  • Vinegar –5 tbsp
  • Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli – 2 chopped
  • Tomato Ketchup – 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 5 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves / Cilantro – 3 tbsp finely chopped

For Grinding:

  • Onion – 2 large peeled and chopped
  • Ginger – 1/2 cup peeled and chopped
  • Garlic – 10 cloves peeled

Method:

  • Take chicken in a bowl, add up salt, soya sauce, vinegar and mix it well.
  • Marinate it for 30 mins
  • Now take onion, ginger, garlic and grind it to fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add the chicken and cook in high heat until the chicken is well coloured. Remove from the kadai and set aside.
  • Pour some oil in same kadai. Add on the ground masal and mix it well. Scrape the kadai well.
  • Cook this paste till oil separates from it.
  • Now add little chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, ketchup and green chilli and mix it well. Add in small amount of water and mix it well.
  • Add in the cooked chicken and mix it well.
  • Cover and cook it for 25 to 30mins or till the chicken is well cooked.
  • Now turn off the heat and add on coriander leaves.
