How to apply lost aadhar card
UDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) which has introduced a new facility to apply new Aadhar cards if lost. A charge of Rs 50 cab be paid to receive the new Aadhar card.
To ensure various central government welfare scheme do properly reach only right users to avail the benefits, Aadhar cards are been distributed to public/citizens from the year 2010. Responsibility of forming procedures and related rules and regulations and issue Aadhar cards is undertaken by UIDAI.
As far, in the state of Tamil Nadu over 7.16 crore citizens above 5 years age which have been issued Aadhar cards out of about a total of 7.74 Crores. Further, 29.22 Lakhs children below five years of age were been issued Aadhar cards out of total of 55.96 lakhs children that of a age group.
Process of registration application forms of Aadhar cards and corrections is undertaken by 308 government E-service centers, 1400 bank branches and about 1500 Post offices. For arrangements are made to introduce facility in all BSNL service centres. PRocess of registering and issuing Aadhar cards for children under 5 age was been undertake by the child welfare section under Department of social welfare.
Aadhar cards were issued years ago who have all dirty and damaged. Some citizens lost up their Aadhar cards. In order to solve up this issue, system of issuing Aadhar cards in the form of ATM cards were taken up. QR codes entered at these cards will not be identified to read up the equipment used for family ration card issue proceeding. There were various difficulties in using card of full benefits. At this situation, process of distributing plastic Aadhar cards stopped.

People who require new Aadhar cards must visit the website – www.uidai.gov.in and click the option – Order Aadhar Reprint (Pilot Basis) and then register for the issue of new Aadhar cards. A service charge of Rs. 40 has to made online for this. Then, the new Aadhar card is said to be sent to the address given by SpeedPost. This system was been taken up on a test basis and if any problems are encountered, they will be solved later.`
