Cyclone Nada weaken into deep depression

System was formed over the Bay of Bengal southwest. Cyclone is said to cross Tamil Nadu coast between Vedaranyam and Puducherry early on December 2 morning. 

Cyclone Nada is now towards Tamil Nadu and Puducherry at Bay of Bengal is said to weaken and make landfall in very early hours of Friday near to Cuddalore.  
Region IMD office at Chennai stated that cyclone Nada is said to weaken into depression and made landfall between Vedaranyam and Cuddalore which is situated 270 km offshore from Puducherry, moving up at a speed of 20km per hour. 
  
Chennai and many other coastal districts is said to receive moderate to heavy rainfall at winds of 60 – 70km speed
