College students protest against jallikattu ban in Coimbatore
College students at Coimbatore started the protest against the ban on jallikattu at VOC Park Grounds on Wednesday to revoke the ban on jallikattu. Most of the students are there at CODISSIA Trade Fair Grounds and travelled down Avinashi Road in two and four-wheelers to reach VOC Park Grounds in a rally. Rally was peaceful but is said to be filled with growing feelings and anger that their demands must to be met.
As per the students, No one said to speak with anyone or either convinced anyone. Students came on their way as they got to know about the social media development. It looks like the lead, State Centre or the Supreme Court was said to immediate legalizing of jallikattu. Tamil Nadu is always said to been a soft target for politicians and the Centre was treated to be nonchalance. We were away without taking up any issues. We know that its wrong. Now we are aware and woken up. Politics is one of the dirt and hence we decided not get involved in it but we are now an idea to clean up its much and get it what we really want.
Students main demand is to close down PETA and remove the ban against jallikattu. It their demand not met then they plan to burn their voter IDs or fast until death and bring all concerned who were involved in the ban.
