Central government employees to go on strike on 16th March in India

All central government employees are said to be on a token for one day strike on 16th March on Thursday insisting that their 20 point demand to be taken care at immediate cause by central government.

This demand includes:

New Pension Scheme to be withdrawn immediately.

Old pension Scheme to be made to continue unconditionally.

Basic pay for central government employees to be increased to Rs 25000

Its very much expected that all works at central government to be affected by great extent because of one-day token strike.

General Secretary of Central Government officers and other Employees federation Mr.M.Duraipandian stated in session with press reporters that notice for strike was given in protest against with their recommendations of 7th Wages Review Committee in 2016

It was a discussion between central government and Union representatives. Committee are said to be formed on promises to be given, plans to protest for temporary withdrawal. It’s said that almost 8 months after above committees are formed and there is no reliable announcements is said to be made. Central government employees didn’t get Conveyance allowance and House Rent Allowance and more.

  • Federation has decided to go on a token on one day strike for the above demands. 
    Following this, the Federation has decided to go on a token 1-day strike to emphasize the above demands. So, the token 1-day strike will be observed on 16th March insisting on 20-point demand including the following:
    As per the committee recommendations, around 2.5 lakh rural personnel employed in the Postal Department must be given appointment orders.
  • The new Pension scheme must be withdrawn immediately.
  • Government to continue the Old Pension scheme unconditionally
  • Basic pay of Rs 25000 to be given.

Token one day strike to be participated by 105 unions including postal department and all unions of Income Tax department, Kalpakkam Atomic Power station Employees Union, Employees of the central government Shastri Bhavan and Rajaji Bhavan.

About 12.5 Lakh central government was said to be all over country including 1.25 Lakh central government employees at Tamil Nadu is said to participate in this token for one day strike.
