Bengaluru Bandh Schools, Govt Offices May be Shut Tomorrow But Public Transport Will Function
Private schools and government offices are expected to stay closed due to bandh. Reports stated that transports services such as cabs and buses will function.
On thursday, Bengaluru is all set to move for a state wide bandh which is called by various organisations against the “Centre’s apathy” towards the Mahadayi dispute. Its said that Private schools and government offices are expected to remain closed in view of bandh. On Tuesday, Associated Management of primary and secondary schools in state stated that the member schools to remain closed on the bandh day.
However, reports claim that transport services like buses and cabs are likely to continue functioning. Groups who are called for protest claimed that Center is resolving the Mahadayi river water dispute with the neighboring state of Goa. Several Kannada organisations came together under leadership of veteran activist and former MLA Vatal Nagaraj. The groups have also stated that there would a state-wide shutdown on February 4 as too.
Dates are selected as BJP president Amit Shah is all set to take part in mega public meeting at Mysore to conlude BJP’s chief ministerial face B S Yeddyurappa’s three months-long state tour “Parivarthana Yathre” on January 25. PM Modi will be at Bengaluru on Feburary 4th to address a rally of party workers.
