Azhar Mahmood appointed as team bowling coach
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the Asia Cup and the ICC World Twenty20 World Cup, former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood has been appointed as the team’s interim bowling coach.
Regular bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed Mahmoud is been restless in these two events. Mushtaq is said to be rested and is expected that in June this year before will handle up the responsibility of the coach again.
On Thursday, Pakistan cricket team manager stated that Mushtaq for the World T20 and Asia Cup will be replaced and relaxed with former all rounder Azhar Mahmood who has been appointed as the new team bowling coach. Mahmoud T20 specialist team and his experience will work.
45-year-old leg-spinner Mushtaq played his match in 2003. After retiring from cricket, he came in the role of coach. 40-year-old Mahmoud, 39 wickets in 21 Tests for Pakistan and scored 900 runs, 143 ODIs with 123 wickets and scored 1521 runs.
