Anna University exams were postponed due to Sterlite issue
Due to the Police firing and violet act in Thoothukudi Sterlite gatherings, Government further destroys right for communicating by shutting down internet connections at three districts.
Rift spreads all over Tamil Nadu and so the Anna University has decided to postpone the exams of the affiliated colleges which were earlier scheduled on May 25, 26 and 28 (April-May 2018 University Examinations).
Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts were offered extra three days for Class 10 students to apply for the re-totaling of marks reported at the State Government’s official press release.
Anna University were announced that the exams that were scheduled from May 29 is said to be conducted according to the earlier plan. Thoothukudi Sterlite plant was opposite which was devastated by the Government through police firings putting down the lives of 14 innocent people.
This outburst of events which can lead to further violence and protests. This was the main reason that Anna University defined the current situation to be an ‘unforeseen circumstances’ for conducting university exams.
Rescheduled University Exams Dates: Exam was scheduled on May 25 which was postponed to June 5 and May 26 exam rescheduled to June 6. The test planned on May 28 is postponed to June 7.
