2017-18 budget to propose hike in train fare
Central ministry has decided to submit the Annual Financial Statement for 2017 to 2018 at Parliament before 1st February when doing along with its financial statement, Railway Budget to be filled up too.
As per the new railway budget, train ticket fare is all set to get hiked. Price hike was indirect last year but at this time, the increase will direct stated by higher official from railway ministry.
Last time, its hike was introduced in premium. This doesn’t have increased income to railway department and hence direct hike in price is all set to be introduced. Its stated that freight rate will not be high at this time. Last between July and September, the freight rate was considerably reduced. It is also stated that there will be consequences with rise in freight rate.
There are lot of funds essential for different schemes by railway ministry. First is said to be network major cities for which Rs 10,000 crore is all to be spent. Due to all these reasons, train tickets price is inevitable.
