14 year old girl raped and entire village rebel in Bangalore

The 14-year-old rape survivors are up with a new strength of the support from village stood up to fight her battle. A hamlet Ramagondanahalli in north Bangalore wants to see the tow accuse to be punished. It was being a big complaint for Rishika (name changed) and her distraught father to rise up a complaint. On June 7th, Rishika was waiting at the the Ramagondanahalli bus stop who was eager to return to her aunt’s home in Ulsoor, where she lived and schooled. But when the Landlord’s son and his friend came along where Rishika lost her childhood.

Two creep people took her to an unknown place in the village, gang raped her and dropped her back and threatened her to keep her mouth shut that if she dare to talk then her small sisters would meet with the same fate, they warned. Terrified Rishika gone back to home and told her parents that she had gone to hebbal but didn’t find a bus afterwards to Ulsoor and returned. For two days, she battled her devils and finally, decided to confide in her cousin and then her father. The disturbed man shared his anger with fellow villagers. It could be any of our girls, the men must be punished, the villagers said, and on June 13, an FIR was filed at Yelahanka New Town police station. 

A medical test confirmed sexual abuse. On June 15th, the landlord’s son and prime accused Kiran Rajanna, 25, was arrested. The other culprit was still in absconding. He was booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 (Pocso), Section 366 (kidnap), 376 and 34 (gang rape) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation). The girl was very much afraid and worried when she was brought to helpline. She as so much nervous and innocently recalled the incident. The reason that she never disclosed to her parent that they threatened by the accused that the same would be repeated on her younger sisters.
